Yesterday someone sent me drone pictures of the titanium mine site near the Okefenokee Swamp. They were taken from above GA 94, looking northwest.

You can still can comment against the proposed mine to the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers.

It’s a bit disorienting that the two pictures seven weeks apart were taken from opposite directions. Nonetheless, people familiar with mining equipment may be able to spot differences.

I know there have been changes, because I saw more equipment being trucked in when I was at the entrance on GA 94 Thursday a week ago during the press conference for the Georgia Water Coalition Dirty Dozen.

You can object to a titanium strip mine proposed far too near the Swamp.

GA-EPD had a public comment period open until March 20, 2023 on the Twin Pines Minerals Mining Land Use Plan.

You can still send a comment to the addreseses below, even though the comment period is over. You can comment from anywhere: not limited to Georgia.
