Thanks to Julie Shutters for training us at Reed Bingham State Park in water quality testing by Georgia Adopt-A-Stream methods.

As you can see, it was deadly serious. Maybe those of you who couldn’t make it this time can liven it up next time. We will schedule another testing training in about three months.

Meanwhile, Scotti and WWALS lead tester Sara are recertified for chemical testing, and completely certified for biological testing. WWALS E.D. Gretchen Quarterman and Suwannee Riverkeeper John S. Quarterman are recertified on both, and thus qualified (again) for training to be trainers.

Last time Georgia Adopt-A-Stream had trainer training none of us could go, so we’ll try again next time. Once we get one or more trainers trained down here, we won’t have to get Julie to drive down from Sylvester to do trainings.

Thanks again, Julie Shutters, for doing this training. And thanks for asking Georgia Adopt-A-Stream to finally let us put data into their online database.

That will let us finally fill in some of the gaps on their map. Yes, in Florida, as well, for the Suwannee River Basin (and where-ever we get data from trained testers) we will be putting it into the Georgia Adopt-A-Stream database and map.
