All WWALS water quality test results for Thursday show clean from E. coli for the Little, Withlacoochee, and Alapaha Rivers. Crawford Branch at Skipper Bridge Road was a bit higher, but well within the 410 one-time test limit.

No new sewage spills have been reported in the Suwannee River Basin in Georgia or Florida.

Rain is predicted for Sunday morning, but probably not enough to wash much contamination into the rivers.

For context and the entire WWALS composite spreadsheet of water quality results, rainfall, and sewage spills, see:

The most recent results we have from Valdosta are for Monday upstream and Wednesday a week ago downstream, and they concur with the WWALS results.

Thanks to WWALS tester Cindy Vedas for her three Thursday Withlacoochee River sites: Franklinville, Staten Road, and US 41, plus her new site on Crawford Branch @ Skipper Bridge Road. Crawford Branch runs into the Withlacoochee River immediately downstream of Skipper Bridge.

Thanks to Kimberley Tanner for her two Alapaha River test sites: Lakeland Boat Ramp and Naylor Park Beach. And to her helpers this week: the Jones family.

Thanks to Jacob and Michael Bachrach for their results for Troupville Boat Ramp on the Little River and Nankin and State Line Boat Ramps on the Withlacoochee River.

Thanks to Suzy Hall for herding the testing cats, and to Gretchen Quarterman for training them and delivering supplies.

I’ve marked green all the WWALS “beaches” for which we have recent data, on Swim Guide
