Clean Withlacoochee River 2021-07-15

Update 2021-07-21: Valdosta Elsa spills finally in GA-EPD Sewage Spills Report 2021-07-20.

Good news! By all the test results we have, the Withlacoochee River is clean again, in Georgia and Florida. Happy swimming, fishing, and boating!

WWALS test results from US 41 above Valdosta down to Cleary Bluff below Allen Ramp and nearly to the Suwannee, plus Troupville Boat Ramp on the Little River, are all clean for Thursday, July 15, 2021.

That matches Valdosta upstream results for Monday and Wednesday.

Valdosta downstream results for this week have not been posted.

We also have no new results from Madison Health.

Plus, our WWALS testers for the Alapaha River and for upstream at GA 122 on the Little and Withlacoochee Rivers are off this week, because without much rain, and previous rainfall busily flushing the rivers, we got what we expected: a clean Withlacoochee River, and apparently a clean Little River. The Alapaha River is probably also clean.

So for all these Thursday test results, the WWALS Swim Guide “beaches” are green. Some are yellow for no results in less than seven days.
