WWALS has seven overarching goals, many about issues. Some of those issues, and some others, are described in sub-pages here. Most of the issues listed here are addressed by the WWALS Watershed Issues Committee. Testing has its own Testing Committee. The Water Trails have their own Trails Committee.

- Corporate agriculture: land purchases and land use, including water withdrawals and pesticide and fertilizer runoff and leaching
- Solar power: we support it, but beware of wooded wetlands
