Nestle

Nestlé still wants more water, this time from Ginnie Springs on the Santa Fe River.

Update 2021-02-09: Back to Live Oak and online: SRWMD Nestle Special Meeting 2021-02-23.

Back in December 2019, 32 people spoke against Nestlé in a Suwannee River Water Management District Board Meeting, and 384,000 petition signatures were delivered.

The permit decision was removed from the March SRWMD Board agenda because Nestlé opened a Florida Division of Administrative Hearings (DOAH) process against SRWMD staff advice to deny the permit. Dozens of people showed up anyway to speak against.

You can still send in your own comment to SRWMD.
